6 Must Have Decorations for a St. Patrick’s Day Party

You don’t have to rely on the luck of the Irish when you’re decorating for a St. Patrick’s Day party if you use a few fun decorations. Consider who will be at your party because you don’t want to use decorations that are too juvenile for an adult celebration. Keep in mind that your party should include more than just must-have decorations on the walls and tables, such as green food and plenty of fun and games as well.

1. Shamrocks
If you’re throwing a St. Patrick’s Day party, then you need to have shamrocks. Cut out these green plants so that they have a personalized look. Sprinkle a little green glitter on them to make them shimmer while they are hanging on the walls or hanging from the ceilings. Light up the room with shamrock lights. Shamrock tissue paper can hang down from the ceiling, especially over the entry door so that guests have to navigate through the shamrocks to get to the party.

2. Rainbows
Some people believe that there’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You can make sure there’s a pot of gold with your rainbows by putting small golden pebbles in a black cauldron. Position a rainbow so that it begins at one end of the room and extends to the other end with the arch over the center of the room. Tables where guests can eat can be positioned so that they are underneath the arch. You can also make small rainbows to put in the center of the tables with golden candies that guests can take home.

3. Leprechauns
When you think of St. Patrick’s Day, a leprechaun often comes to mind. You can do a lot with this little man at your party. Get a large cutout so that guests can take pictures with him, or get a few masks so that guests can look like a leprechaun.

4. Blarney Stone
This is a stone that is tied to quite a few legends associated with St. Patrick’s Day. When two people stand near the stone, they are supposed to kiss. This would be a decoration to consider if your party is more for adults than kids.

5. Pots Of Gold
Hide a few pots of gold around the room for guests to find. You can also hide several small gold candies. Guests can get clues as to where the candies are hidden so that they can play a scavenger hunt to try to find them. Another idea would be to use pots of gold as containers for food and drinks.

6. Green Beer
Offer cutouts of green beer that guests can take pictures with as well as a few other accessories. Place clear pitchers of green beer on the tables. Make a large pitcher of green beer that you can put in the middle of the food table so that guests can get a refreshing drink.

St. Patrick’s Day is a fun holiday that features the color green. Aside from this color, there are also sparkling pieces of gold and lucky clovers that you can use for your party. As long as you’re seeing green, then your party can be a success.
